Here is a cute little friend that would love to be part of your puppet family.
This wood turtle puppet is about 12 inches long and he has a movable mouth and legs. He is made by Sunny & Co. and would love to pal around with you on all of your adventures. If you have a puppet show there could be a special place just for a slow talking, easy going turtle. Then again, he may breakout of being shy and start talking up a storm and go out to win a race against a hare. I’m pretty sure he would be whoever you would like him to be.
Wood turtles are normally found in the North Eastern United States. They get their name not because they live in the woods but, because their shells look like they have wood grain stripes. These turtles have been know to live over 45 years so, you know this is a long term friend.
In the wild a real live turtle like this may be seen eating slugs, bugs, and worms along with some yummy plants. Now don’t worry about going out to get any slimy slugs because puppets don’t need them. In fact puppets just need you to have a little imagination and a free hand to help them play along.
